IRCC announced new changes to the IELTS requirement for Canada SDS.
As per the new change, candidates applying for work permits via SDS no longer need an individual score of 6 in the IELTS sections.
Candidates can now score an overall 6.0 band instead of an individual 6.0 band in the IELTS exam for Canada SDS.
The new change in IELTS requirement will be implemented from August 10, 2023.
The IELTS test-takers applying via the SDS program will now be required to score an overall 6.0 band to qualify.
The decision to eliminate the individual score of 6.0 bands was taken to emphasize the importance of the comprehensive abilities of the test-takers.
The latest change in the requirement of IELTS is to facilitate better opportunities for international students to pursue their education in Canada.
(SDS) Student Direct Stream of Canada
The (SDS) Student Direct Stream is a study permit processing program for students applying to study in Canada at DLI (Designated Learning Institutions).
SDS has a fast-tracked and streamlined process with an expedited processing time.
